The only thing I was running on the Rough was the Profile cut though on this. The tear out on those two letters started with the second pass.
Even the preview is showing the chip out on T and M on this one using
Looks like a tracing issue. Was this traced in Easel?
No traced in V-carve Pro.
Preview cannot show ‘Chip Out’ as it is not carving.
What it is showing is exactly what you can expect to get from the tool paths created.
What I see is BAD TRACING.
Ok so how do I fix that? I did not change the jpg file to greyscale .
Start with a better image.
Lesson learned I searched Brunswick Images and took the 1st one I found.
A 22deg Vbit would give you similar results just use a larger tool to hog out the unnecessary material and edge it with the vbit. You can draw a boarder vector around the letters to help keep the larger bit from chipping away the detail.
The other thing you could do is to use the v bit to cut in for the Trade and Mark (not have the letters stick out but sunk in) ??
In my post above I thought easel for some reason. Disregard
There you go again.
again??? I’ve never been wrong
Ok so I did the tool path for V-carve and it just totally removed the Trade but left the Mark. Also it will not let me do a profile cut to cut out the sign. Frustrations abound…
When using a Vbit detail path, you will want to make the profile cut in a separate work piece. You can duplicate the work piece, then delete everything but the profile.
Found the Trade for some reason I had the 1/4" bit in for clearance instead of the 1/8" bit.
When I select the profile it wants to cut though on all lines not just the outside of the sign.
Figured it out created a vector box around sign
Are you working in VCarve?
