Nice job Phil.
I think 2020 may be the year for a laser in my shop.
Question,
What do you use as a sealer?
What spray paint do you use?

Hey Guys and Gals, I just got the OK to offer a 15% discount on the Starbond Glue. Here is a quick video and discount code to enter on the Starbond site.

Hi Phil. Merry Christmas.

Love the Millennium Falcon you made for your Son.

I just got the 7W laser too and I’m trying to figure out the speed and power settings to burn something like that. Would you mind sharing your settings?

It looks like some areas are Fill + Line and some are just Line.
If you could share both your setting I would really appreciate it. Also the number of passes for each.

Also, do you mask the wood before you burn it, or do you burn directly on the wood?

Thanks a lot, any pointers are welcomed.

…Peter

I use 70, 75, 80 inches per minute for most of my engravings with 100% power. I used fill only on this engraving with one pass. This was set for the 70 inches per minute. Burn directly on the wood.

Hi Phil. I was going too fast then :grinning: at 100 in/min.

Live and learn.

Thanks again for sharing

I’m doing some large fan art signs. This is an exercise in tiling. These are approximately 20x40. The customer is painting and adding LED lights

@SteveMoloney Thank you very much for the file. It is a big hit on YouTube. Is this file on the project page? I could not find it. The blast gates are perfect.
