My machine is plunging too deep after installing new 9 mm belts, 269 ounce motors and cnc4newbies z assembly. Everything worked correctly prior to new install of these upgrades. I did run through Easel’s setup successfully.
You need to change your grbl settings to match the new Z axis characteristics.
Read through this thread to get advise on how to set it up.
