Got my dewalt up and running tonight. So much better!! This is the machine i wanted!
makes ya feel real good when it just does what itâs supposed toâŚ
Allright Dewalt Lovers Club. First problem from first Dewalt user. Started to woble. Wobling bad changing cutting course. I changed from straight flute to reguler upcut .125â result is better, but I stil can see wibration on plywood cutting. Canât feel any movement on bearing with hand forcing, but I thing bearing started to give up. Watch out your feed rate guys. Too slow burning bit, because of uncontrolable RPM, fast feed rate abusing bearing. Just for you to know. By the way, bearing is $8.00, not a big deal. If keeps wibrating, I will replace it.
@DallasPowers do you have a link for the relay you are using or other info on how you have this set up? I would love this addition.
I was draw this time ago. Also I want to add; Inventables selling nice Solid State Relay with heat sink now.
I am using this setup now.
I wired the relay into a electrical outlet that the spindle plugs into. The other socket is for the shop vac, so that it will turn on with the spindle.
Yah, is set it up like Alanâs drawing. I just put an outlet off the relay, and plugged the router into the outlet.
Niiice, looking very nice.
Nice Dallas!! Could you post more pictures of your set-up?
If I have setup like this, I never turn that machine on. Keep it out of dust, pet it all day long.
Really nice setup!!!
This is cable pornography.
Just got my 1000 mm X-carve up and running with the 24v stock spindle but after reading this I just had to order the dewalt! I live in Sweden and was wondering if anyone knows If I can just change the plug and run it at 240 V?
I make acoustic guitars and will have a lot of use for the X-carve. Making templates, guitar forms, fretboards, pearl inlays and so on. Iâve cut inlays by hand so far but need to increase my production a bit
@PerMarklund, you will have to find the equivalent version of the 611⌠your system, like here is NZ is a 50Hz 240VAC and so just changing the plus on it would still burn out the motor. The key being that it is 50Hz and therefore 60Hz AC motors donât fair so well.
This is the one youâll want:
Stock spindle died over the weekend so I hooked up the 611 and like others have said - what a work horse. It really makes the stock spindles look like little toys. But man the dust is unreal and something that needs to be dealt with. Does anyone have a dust shoe they really like and can still see the bit cutting? Holding my vacuum nozzle is almost useless with the airflow this thing has. I cut the diverter from Easel project but havenât mounted it yet.
What a nice upgrade!!!
What about some sort of air diverter that mounts just under the routerâs housing to keep the airflow from reaching the work surface?
Like this?
bingo.
Thanks for the info! The D26200 is super expensive here in Europe, about $350. As far as I know the 611 can run on both 50Hz and 60Hz, at least the label on the side says so. Converting from 240V to 110V shouldnât be an issue, I hope.
