There are a few ways on setting proper work zero for a circle in Easel:
Bump stops and G28

Does anyone use a Bump Stop to quickly set their material?

I am thinking of putting a Bump Stop on. I cut repeated patterns, Place, clamp, carve, & repeat. I believe a Bump Stop at the zero of X & Y would speed up my progress. Has anyone done this?

Resetting work zero axis without affecting others

I ran into a problem where I set my X and Y off (I set to edge of bit and not center) and I already did a test carve (simple planing of a board) and didn’t want to have to reset the current Z axis depth. Running through the carve menu will prompt you to either keep current XYZ or reset at the least the Z depth. Both above methods requires the Machine Inspector window which is quickly accessed by Ctrl-Shift-D.

Finally, the easiest way would be to insure you have a large enough workpiece that your carve would fall within it. The bump stop is a great tool to have and use. But a little intimidating for a novice user to setup and make use of. (it’s not part of the Easel experience, but a machine feature)
